CAUTION: Keep
an eye on your alkalinity level. The continued use of Chlorine tablets
will lower your pH and your alkalinity
Make sure your
filter is clean
A dirty filter causes a lack of circulation leading to green water and
NO FLOW for the heater Use Lithium Hypo-chlorite and 1"
Chlorine tablets. This combination has worked extremely well in most situations.
A properly fitted, quality cover will save you from higher energy
bills due to heat lose and evaporation. Use an
Ozone machine. This will
greatly reduce the amount of chemicals you need to add to your spa /hot tub.
Proper water level needs to be maintained at all times for proper operation of your spa /hot tub.
Check water level often.

Plumbing Recommendations
It is very important that you use
2" plumbing when ever possible.
You should size your pump and filter according to the size of your swimming pool and size of your plumbing.
For most backyard pools a
THE POOL GUY SAYS:
For an average back yard pool, 8K-15K of water, I have found that
a 60" DE filter,3/4 hp pump and a with 2" plumbing is preferred. and a 3/4 hp (full-rated-energy efficient) pump seems to be the best way to go.
Iron Stains
CITRIC ACID is
extremely helpful if you have a high level of fresh iron stains in
your swimming pool or spa . I have found that this product seems to
take the stains out of concrete, fiberglass, acrylic, plastic and
wood.
CAUTION
Only do this to your swimming pool during the winter. This product will strip all your chlorine, alkalinity and lower your pH to the
6.6-6.8
Citric acid will turn your swimming pool GREEN
if you do not boost these levels within a few days after the treatment
ALWAYS ADJUST THE ALKALINITY LEVEL FIRST
Spa / Hot Tub Citric Acid Application Method #1
For fast results drain your spa / hot tub. Put a small amount of citric acid on a scotch pad and start rubbing on the shell. Rinse off and you should see the original color of the spa. Make sure you keep your drain plug open or your siphon going so you can dilute the water as you drain the spa / hot tub of this special product
Spa
/ Hot Tub Citric Acid Application Method #2
An easier, yet less effective, method of stain removal in your spa / hot tub is to add about a 1/4 LB per 500 gallons directly into your spa /hot tub. Circulate water for 20 minutes, brush shell and drain. Wipe entire shell clean, Refill and balance the water chemistry.
Swimming Pool Citric Acid Application
Add roughly 1 LB of citric
acid per 5,000 gallons
into your swimming pool and you should see the difference the next day.
This method works best for most pool surfaces [Concrete/plaster,
vinyl and fiberglass].
